Siem Reap

So I bought a three day pass to the temples in Siem Reap. The first day I went with Kim from England and Geri from Australia. Two very nice girls I met at the hostal. I stayed at a guesthouse called Hak' House, which was a very nice place. It's the best place I have stayed at so far, and I can truly recommend it. It had such a nice atmosphere, and the owner was really nice and helpful.

So the first day we went to some of the temples 50 km away from the city centre. Riding a Tuk-Tuk we got to see some of the countryside of Cambodia.

The second day we decided not to go to the temples, since we had a night out the day before. So we just spent the day walking around Siem Reap, went to the war museum, which wasn't worth it, and went to the night market.

At the food stalls close to the market I tried the national dish Amok. Fish baked with coconut and lemon grass in banana leaves. It was really good.

And I had to have a cocnut;)

The next day was when Geri and I went to see the sunrise, getting picked up at 04.45 in the morning. So we slept a bit afterwards and decided to go back to the nightmarket and get some fish massage.

The fish don't have any teeth and eat the dead skin from your feet. It was thickling too much, so I didn't manage to put my whole feet under wather.

That wraps up the days in Siem Reap. The day after I went on my last day to the temples. My next stop on the journey was Battambang. I was going to take the boat over The Tonlé Sap lake, which I really really liked. More pictures to come:)
